Qualifications, expertise and know-how:
The mutual respect of two friends Sergi Ferrer-Salat and Ral Bobet, both passionate about the world and culture of wine. On 2008 the first two wines Ferrer Bobet 2005 and Ferrer Bobet Selecci Especial 2005 were launched using grapes from some of the oldest vines in the Priorat. To date Ferrer Bobet has predominately used hundred year old Carignan and Grenache vines from the best Priorat vineyards. Winemaking is based on the principle that painstaking viticulture is the basis for the quality of wines. Fermentation takes place in small 15-30 hectoliter fermenters and most are oak fermenters, where the wines are aged at least for 15 months in order to preserve their organoleptic qualities.
